Kemai’s Accelerator Micro-channel Technology Reached Internationally Advanced Level

On June 26, the scientific and technological achievement of “Micro-channel Continuous Flow Technology of Series Products such as Sulfenamide Accelerator TBBS” jointly developed by Kemai Chemical Co., Ltd. and Changzhou University passed the appraisal of the panel of CPCIF. 


The appraisal committee thought that this achievement had advanced technology, strong process innovation, obvious technological economy and social benefits and reached internationally advanced level, therefore it possessed high promotion value.

The attending experts listened to the technical research report of the project and reviewed the technical materials such as sci-tech novelty retrieval report, testing report and analysis of economic benefits, and thought that this project initiated the micro-channel reaction technology of series products such as Sulfenamide Accelerator TBBS and built kiloton equipment, which realized efficiency, cleanliness and safety of production process compared with tank and intermittent process. 

By designing unique micro-channel reactor, this project shortened the reaction time from the original 1.5 hours to 3 seconds, reduced the liquid holdup to 0.1‰ of traditional process and obviously improved the continuous and automatic level. The project solved multiple problems such as low yield of traditional process, difficult treatment of “three wastes” and large safety risk in one lump sum, realized cleaner production and essential safety from the source and possessed obvious demonstration and driving functions.
